At Design Thinkers Studio, technology is an essential part of learning. This Code of Conduct outlines the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for all students when using digital tools, online platforms, and devices.
General Principles
Use technology for learning and project purposes only.
Respect coaches, peers, and the learning environment.
Follow instructions from staff at all times when using technology.
Be mindful of digital wellbeing and balance screen time responsibly.
Responsible Use of Technology
Always log in with your own account; never use someone else’s login.
Keep passwords private and secure.
Do not attempt to access restricted sites or bypass filters.
Use respectful language in all online communications.
Never share personal information online (full name, address, phone, etc.).
Online Safety and Cybersecurity
Report suspicious links, emails, or content to a coach immediately.
Avoid downloading or installing unapproved software or apps.
Avoid accessing unapproved websites.
Understand the importance of digital footprints and use technology responsibly.
Inappropriate Use
Accessing or sharing harmful, offensive, or violent content is strictly prohibited.
Cyberbullying, harassment, or disrespectful behaviour (online or offline) will not be tolerated.
Misuse of school technology or accounts may result in disciplinary action, restricted access or deregistration.
Collaboration and Respect
Contribute positively when working in groups or using shared platforms.
Always give credit when using information, images, or ideas from others.
Respect intellectual property and avoid plagiarism.
Acknowledgment
Students and parents/guardians are expected to read and understand this Design Thinkers Studio Code of Conduct.
By signing the Parent Consent Form upon registration, families acknowledge that these guidelines have been discussed and that the student agrees to follow them.
